Biography

Jerome Louveaux was a postdoc at CAS, in the period 2004-2005, working on the EU UBROAD project. The objective was to reach VDSL speeds on twisted-pair copper wires, by using vector precoding at the DSLAM. A complication is that the channel estimates are obtained at the receiver, that only limited feedback is available, and that the MIMO cross-channels cannot be observed. This project was the first to obtain channel measurements and demonstrate the possibilities.
