Model-driven decision lab (MoDDL)

Themes: Machine learning for image and video understanding

Data and model-driven decision making for the Dutch police

In the Model-driven decision lab (MoDDL), TU Delft and the national police enter into a strategic collaboration studying various aspects of AI-supported decision making, e.g. creating situational awareness with sensors and edge computing, and novel machine learning based on sequential machine learning.

MoDDL initially consists of 5 studies, each with 1 PhD student.

For SPS, the PhD project is automated activity detection using multiple sensors, e.g. cameras. This involves research in computer vision and developing machine learning tools for detecting relevant anomalies from multiple cameras.
