Mostafa Mohammadkarimi is a postdoctoral researcher at SPS, starting September 2021. Prior to this, he was postdoctoral researcher at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany, the University of British Columbia, and the University of Alberta in Canada. He received his PhD in 2017 from Memorial University in Canada (Prof. Octavia A. Dobre). He was also a visiting PhD student in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from February 2016 until April 2017. Mostafa received his MSs in communication systems from K.N. Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran.
His research interests are wireless communications, statistical signal processing, machine learning, information theory, and localization & Navigation. Mostafa has also experience of working with FPGA, DSP, SDR, and AVR microcontroller.
