Expertise: numerical optimization, image processing, generalized inverse problems

Patricio Guerrero Prado is a postdoc at SPS since February 2026, working with Richard Heusdens on audio signal processing. Prior, he was a postdoc at KU Leuven (mechanical engineering), where he worked on CT-based nondestructive testing. His expertise is on inverse problems and computational imaging, particularly applied to image reconstruction and restoration of X-ray-based 3D/4D imaging techniques. 

Patricio obtained his PhD in Applied Mathematics from Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines University in  2018.
